Tappit, a leading cashless experience specialist for sports events, festivals and other global entertainment venues, today announced the appointment of former Director of European Field Services at Eventbrite, Daniel van Eynsbergen, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Daniel brings over a decade of live event and ticketing experience to Tappit, following senior roles at both ticketscript and subsequently Eventbrite. Beginning as an entrance coordinator, Daniel rose through the ranks at ticketscript to become Head of Entrance Management before being appointed Director of Event Services. He was part of the successful acquisition of ticketscript by Eventbrite in 2017, as well as Eventbrite’s recent IPO, which valued the business at $1.2bn USD.
At Tappit, Daniel will be based in Amsterdam, responsible for leading on the daily operations of the business across its global customer base. Alongside Duco Smit, who recently joined Tappit from Eventbrite as its new Chief Commercial Officer, Daniel will play a pivotal role in growing Tappit’s global footprint with venue and events businesses in new and developing markets.

This year, the cashless experience specialist also announced a new three-year partnership with Bestival, an award-winning UK music festival, which will see fans able to pay for food and drink with Tappit’s cashless payment card.
