Former President & CFO of Appgate, Jonathan Simkins, to lead financial growth at Tappit

Tappit, the cashless experts, providing global payment and data ecosystems for sports, events, stadiums and venues, announced Jonathan Simkins has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Jonathan was most recently President & CFO of Appgate, a leading secure access company, where he led the spin-out from Cyxtera Technologies as a standalone company in January 2020 to accelerate its efforts in the rapidly changing cybersecurity industry.

A seasoned CFO, Jonathan has led multiple companies through their early stages into their growth phases. He’s raised hundreds of millions of dollars in venture and growth capital as both a CFO and an investment banker. In his most recent role at Appgate, he delivered the highest growth quarter in the company’s history. Jonathan also led CyberGRX from pre-revenue to tens of millions of annual recurring revenue as CFO, and as CEO of Visum Cyber, he led the company from pre-product to exit. Jonathan also spent 6 years at HSBC in various Strategy, Operations and Corporate Development roles.
